GIAC software calibrations for Audi S1 2.0T applications are now available!

GIAC Stage 1 & Stage 2 software calibrations are now available for Audi S1 models. Stage 1 software is designed to accommodate the factory exhaust and intake systems. The programming retains OEM-like drivability while maximizing performance improvements throughout the power band. On 98 RON fuel, peak-to-peak performance gains have been measured at 30-35 wheel HP and 15-20 ft lbs wheel torque. Stage 2 software is optimized for an upgraded intake, intercooler, turbo-back exhaust and MK7 GTI Turbo outlet elbow (required for maximized power gains). Special thanks to E&A Autosport in Israel for assisting us in the testing process by providing several development vehicles!

Other features of GIAC S1 performance software include:

  • properly recalibrated air/fuel ratios to reduce cylinder pressure at higher boost pressure
  • improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel
  • OBD2 installation allows for quick, reliable and easy performance software installation
  • raised speed limiters to factory redline in final drive gear

GIAC Stage 1 software is Now Available for 8V MQB S3 & Golf 7 R models

 

GIAC Stage 1 software upgrades are now available for the MQB 8V S3 and MK7 Golf R worldwide! Stage 1 software upgrades do not require any additional hardware upgrades; however, additional hardware upgrades will allow for more power to be made. GIAC software upgrades offer dramatic performance improvements over factory software, but retain factory-like drivability. On 91 octane fuel, performance gains are measured at 30 – 37 KW of power and 61 – 74 Nm of torque to all four wheels. In some areas of the power band, gains are as high as 39 Kw and 85Nm of torque (at four wheels) over stock. On 100 octane fuel, performance gains are measured at 37 – 45 Kw of power and 74 – 88Nm of torque to all four wheels. Gains are as high as 45Kw and 88Nm of torque (at four wheels) over stock in some areas. Our engineers have developed this calibration to ensure smooth drive quality and no issues with surging, turbo over speed, ECP lights or limp modes, when no actual hardware failures are present. For DSG models, GIAC has also spent a great deal of time to improve how power delivery is sustained between gear shifts.

Other notable features include the following:

  • properly calibrated air/fuel ratios,
  • dramatically improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel (throttle delay removed)
  • raised speed limiters to factory redline in final drive gear
  • optimized torque control for smoother, faster shifting with consistent power across all gears

GIAC Software for C7 RS6 & RS7 is now available!

GIAC Stage 1 software is now available for C7 Audi RS6 & RS7 models. This software calibration accommodates the factory exhaust and intake system and retains OEM-like drivability, but offers dramatic performance improvements over the factory software. On 91 octane fuel, peak to peak performance gains are measured at 80-85 wheel HP and 130-135 ft lbs wheel torque. In some areas of the power band, gains are as high as 121 wheel HP and 145 ft lbs wheel torque. On 100 octane fuel, peak to peak performance gains are measured at 130-135 wheel HP and 130-135 ft lbs wheel torque. In some areas of the power band, gains are as high as 146 wheel HP and 145 ft lbs wheel torque. The calibration features a proprietary boost control system to optimize air flow and horsepower. Other notable features include the following:

  • properly recalibrated air/fuel ratios,
  • improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel,
  • optimized torque control for smoother, faster shifting, and
  • raised speed limiters to factory redline in final drive gear.

GIAC Software is now available for 2.0TDI Applications!

GIAC engine and DSG software for 2.0 TDI applications is here. Expect solid horsepower gains from the GIAC engine software alone, but even more with the GIAC engine and DSG software package:

Besides impressive power gains, the GIAC engine and DSG software package offers a better driving experience. The stage 1 engine calibration increases pedal response throughout the rev range. The stage 1 DSG calibration includes raised torque limits, a locked M mode, and a slightly improved shift speed.

Software testing for this product was completed in-house using GIAC’s own 2013 Jetta Sportwagen using proprietary logging equipment engineered for comprehensive DME access and data acquisition. Dyno plots are included below for both the engine software alone and the engine and DSG software combination.
